State Health Society, Bihar invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment on contractual vacancies of Community Health Officer (CHO) for leading the primary health service provider team (female/male health worker/Asha etc.) for implementation of public health programs in various Health and Wellness Centers (HWC's)/ Ayushman Arogya Mandir of the state under NHM, to provide comprehensive primary health care including disease prevention and quality health promotion.

Community Health Officer: 4500 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess B.Sc. (Nursing) with successful completion of six months integrated curriculum of Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University from academic year 2020 onwards.
OR
Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with successful completion of six months Integrated curriculum of Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) from an Indian Nursing Council/ State Nursing Council recognized Institute or University from academic year 2020 onwards.
OR
B.Sc. (Nursing)/ Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing)/ General Nurse and Midwifery (GNM) passed candidates who have completed Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) through IGNOU/ other State Public Health/ Medical Universities as per curriculum of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India (specified for eligibility of CHOs by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, GOI).

Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 42 years of age as of 01-04-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on a Computer Based Test followed by Document Verification.

Pay Scale: Rs.40000 per month

Application Fee: Rs.500/- for General Backward Class/ EBC/ EWS category and outside the state candidates
Rs.125/- for SC/ ST/ Female/ Disabled candidates
