Puducherry PY GOV CHSL Exam 2025-26 Notification

Chief Secretariat, Puducherry Examining Authority, Government of Puducherry, invites online applications from eligible Indian Citizens who are Natives/ Residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination to be held for the Direct Recruitment of various posts in various Departments noted against the respective Post(s)/ Post Code, Puducherry.

Artist in the Department of Art and Culture: 01 Vacancy
Lower Division Clerk in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms: 129 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria:

Artist Posts: The candidate must have passed in H.Sc (12th Class) or its equivalent from a recognized Board or University
AndThe 
candidate must have passed in Diploma or a Higher Grade Certificate in Drawing and Painting issued by a recognized Institution

Lower Division Clerk Posts: The candidate must have passed in H.Sc. (12th Class) or equivalent from a recognized Board or University
And
Candidate must have passed in ‘Typewriting Lower Grade’ examination in English or Tamil or Malayalam or Telugu conducted by the Government/ Board of Technical Education.
OR
The candidate must have typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Tamil/ Malayalam/ Telugu on Computer. (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years as on 14-12-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Examination Paper-I for All posts; and Paper-II for LDC posts/ Skill Test for Artist position.

Negative mark of 0.25 will be deducted for every wrong answer and multiple answers will be treated as a wrong answer.

Pay Scale: Pay Level 04 for Artist posts
Pay Level 02 for Lower Division Clerk posts
