National Testing Agency CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 Exam Registration Begins

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the CSIR, with the task of conducting of Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2024 which is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for ‘award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor’, ‘appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ and ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ in Indian universities and colleges.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must possess a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination with at least 55% marks from universities/ institutions recognized by UGC.

Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 30 years for JRF posts as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

There is no upper age limit in applying for Assistant Professor and Admission to PhD.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of a computer-based Test (CBT) mode only. There is no negative marking for incorrect responses.

Physical Sciences

Stipend: Rs.37,000/- per month for the first two years.

Application Fee: Rs. 1150/- for General candidates, Rs. 600 for EWS/ OBC-(NCL) candidates, and Rs. 325 for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates.
