- Application Fee: All candidates must submit a Demand Draft along with their application. The fee details are:
₹200 – For SC/ST candidates
₹500 – For General/OBC/EWS and all other categories
- The application runs in Offline mode, so candidates must download the form, fill it out, attach documents, and send it to the institute by post. The envelope must clearly mention: “Application for the post of ________”
- Candidates should also keep a copy of the posted application for future steps, like the admit card, document checks, and interview rounds

General Instructions for NERIST Non-Teaching Applicants
1. Application Format: Only Applications submitted in the prescribed format will be considered. Incomplete forms or those received after the deadline will be rejected without further correspondence.
2. Vacancies: The advertised vacancies are tentative. NERIST reserves the right to increase, decrease, or not fill any post.
3. Pay & Benefits: All posts carry pay as per the 7th CPC, along with allowances. Fresh appointees will be covered under the New Pension Scheme (NPS-2004).
4. Shortlisting: Applications will be scrutinized, and candidates will be shortlisted based on minimum eligibility criteria, academic qualifications, reputation of institutions, and work experience. The institute’s decision on shortlisting is final and binding.
5. Multiple Applications: Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications and fees for each post.
6. Selection Process: The Institute may use different shortlisting criteria depending on the post and candidate availability. Decisions regarding the written test, interview, and final selection are solely at the institute's discretion.
7. Results & Admit Cards:
- The list of eligible candidates will be uploaded on the NERIST website: www.nerist.ac.in.
- Candidates must keep an eye on the website regularly for updates on test dates, call letters, and interviews.
- Admit cards will not be sent by post or email; candidates must download them from the official website.
8. Document Verification: Candidates must bring original certificates at the time of the interview. All degrees must be recognized by boards or universities.
9. Incomplete Applications: Forms lacking essential information will be ineligible for further processing. The closing date for submission will determine eligibility.
10. Category Certificates:
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS applicants must submit a relevant caste/community certificate.
- Applications without the certificate will be considered under the General category.
11. Disability Certificate: A person with disability (PwD) must submit a Disability/Medical Certificate issued by a competent authority.
12. Relaxation Rules: Age and marks relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates will be as per the Government of India rules.
13. Postal Delays & Conduct: The institute will not entertain correspondence regarding postal delays, interview conduct, or reasons for not being called.
14. Current Employees: Applicants employed in Government/Semi-Govt/PSUs/Autonomous organizations must produce a "No Objection Certificate (NOC)" at the time of the interview. If required, they should submit an APAR of the last five years and a Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
15. Retention of Applications: NERIST will retain applications of non-shortlisted or non-selected candidates for six months after recruitment.
16. Disqualification: Any attempts to influence the selection process will lead to disqualification.
17. Address Changes: Candidates must communicate any change of address immediately.
18. TA/DA: No travel or daily allowances will be paid for attending the written examination or interview.
19. Demand Draft Validity: Any application fee (Demand Draft must be valid for at least three months from the date of application.
20. Legal Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising will be resolved under the jurisdiction of the Guwahati High Court, Itanagar Permanent Bench.
