West Bengal Municipal Service Commission invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Medical Officer (General) positions in the Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, the Government of West Bengal.

Name of the Post and Number of Vacancies:

Medical Officer (General): 41 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidates must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized University and duly registered in Medical Council.
And
Preference will be given to candidates possessing a postgraduate qualification like DPH/MD (Community Medicine)/ MD (PSM) from a recognized university.
And
01 (one) year experience in practice of medicine/working experience in the field of Public Health.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 37 years as on 01-01-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Pay Scale: Pay Level-16

Application Fee: Rs.200/- for UR/ EWS/ OBC category candidates
Rs.50/- for SC/ ST/ PwBD category candidates
