The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB), invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Constables in Jammu and Kashmir Police, Home Department.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be passed Matriculation or 10+2 from a recognized board. For Document Verification candidates will be required to produce relevant certificates in original as proof of having acquired the prescribed educational qualification on or before the cut-off date fixed for filling online application forms.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as of 01.01.2024. Candidates must born not earlier than 01 Jan 1996 and not later than 01 Jan 2006; both dates inclusive. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.
Selection Process: The selection criteria shall comprise of the following stages:
1. The candidates shall be subjected to a written examination to arrive at the merit. However, candidates in possession of NCC Certificates shall be awarded bonus marks as per the provisions in S.O. 290 of 2021 dated 20.08.2021.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): The candidates, as per their merit, shall undergo the Physical Standard Test (PST), which shall be qualifying. The number of candidates to be selected for appearing in the PST shall be six times the total number of vacancies to be filled in each category.
3. Physical Endurance Test (PET): The candidates, who qualify for the PST, shall be required to undergo the Physical Endurance Test (PET). The PET shall be qualifying.
Physical Standard Test (PST):
For Males:
(i) Height: 5-6" (minimum)
(ii) Chest girth: 32" (unexpanded)
(iii) Chest girth: 33 V2" (expanded)
For Females:
Height: 52" (minimum)
Relaxation in Physical Standard: For the candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe, the minimum Height shall be relaxable by 2
Physical Endurance Test (PET):
For Male candidates:
Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 2 minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
Pushups: 20 (one cycle of up and down to be counted as one)
For Female candidates:
Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 ½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
Shot Put (4Kgs): 14 V½ feet in three attempts.
Remuneration: Basic Pay of Rs.19900-63200/-
Application Fee: Payment of Application fee Rs. 700/-
For the SC/ST/EWS category, the application fee is 600. Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee through online mode.
