Job Description

The Indian Navy invites online applications from eligible candidates for the Short Service Commission (SSC) course, commencing Jun 2026 onwards at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates must fulfill the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

Selection Process: The selection process for the Indian Navy SSC includes shortlisting of applications based on normalized marks from the qualifying degree. 
Candidate must possess B.E./B.Tech with minimum 60% marks. Candidates who are in the final year of B.E./B.Tech, marks of up to the 5th semester will be considered for the selection of SSB Interview.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or SMS for the SSB interview. The merit list will be based on SSB performance, subject to medical clearance and available vacancies.

Training: Candidates will be inducted in the rank of sub Lieutenant subject to clearing of induction medical examination at INA, Ezhimala post reporting.

Probation Period: Three years for SSC (NAIC) officers and two years for other branches/ cadres officers.
