Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have qualified for the Common Eligibility Test (CET).

• Senior Scale Stenographer: 10+2/ 10+2 1st Division/ 10+2 Vocational/ Graduation/ Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university. English Shorthand at a speed of 100 words per minute and transcription at a speed of 20 words per minute, mistakes should not exceed 4% AND Hindi Shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute and transcription at a speed of 15 words per minute, mistakes should not exceed 4%).

 

• Junior Scale Stenographer: 10+2/ 10+2 1st Division/ 10+2 Vocational/ Graduation/ Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university. English Shorthand at a speed of 100 words per minute and transcription at a speed of 20 words per minute; mistakes should not exceed 8%; and Hindi Shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute and transcription at a speed of 15 words per minute; mistakes should not exceed 8%).

 

• Stenotypist: 10+2/ 10+2 1st Division/ 10+2 Vocational/ Graduation/ Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university. English Shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute and transcription at a speed of 15 words per minute, mistakes should not exceed 8% AND Hindi Shorthand at a speed of 64 words per minute and transcription at a speed of 11 words per minute and mistake should not exceed 8%).

The candidates must have Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matriculation or Higher Education.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 42 years as of July 31, 2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Pay Scale: Level- 6 for Senior Scale Stenographer, Level- 4 for Junior Scale Stenographer, Level- 2 for Steno Typist Positions.

Selection Process: Candidates are selected based on an Offline (OMR-based) written examination and skill test.
