Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu, is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Chennai.    

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), invites online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of various posts on deputation/ contract basis from Indian Railways or Metro or GoI or State Government organizations.

Chief General Manager/ General Manager: 04 Vacancies
Additional General Manager/ Joint General Manager/ Deputy General Manager: 08 Vacancies
Manager/ Deputy Manager/ Assistant Manager: 07 Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, age limit experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 55 years for Chief General Manager, 47 years for Additional General Manager, 43 years for Joint General Manager, 40 years for Deputy General Manager, 38 years for Manager, 35 years for Deputy Manager, and 30 years for Assistant Manager posts as on 04-02-2026. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of an interview followed by a medical examination.

Rs.2,25,000/- for General Manager Posts
Rs.1,60,000/ for Additional General Manager Posts
Rs.1,45,000/- for Joint General Manager Posts
Rs.1,25,000/- for Deputy General Manager Posts
Rs.85,000/- for Manager Posts
Rs.75,000/- for Deputy Manager Posts
Rs.62,000/- for Assistant Manager Posts

Application fee: Rs.300/- for General/ OBC/ EWS category candidates
Rs.50/- for SC/ ST category candidates
