Job Description :

Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Scientist-‘B’ in the specified disciplines and categories.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Civil and Electrical Engineering: Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks.
Candidates must have a valid GATE score of 2022/2023/2024. The GATE score must be valid as of 16.08.2024.

For Chemistry: Candidate must possess a Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent (in Chemistry discipline only) with a minimum of 60% marks.

Age Limit: The candidate's maximum age limit is 30 years as of 16-08-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process: Candidates will be short-listed for Personal Interviews based on GATE 2022, GATE 2023 or GATE 2024 Score.

Final merit list: Candidates shall be selected discipline-wise based on merit as determined by the aggregate marks obtained by giving eighty-five percent (85%) weightage to the GATE Score and 15 percent (15%) weightage to the marks obtained in the interview.

Remuneration: Pay Level 10 of approximately ₹1,11,780/.
