  Job Description :

  Northern Railway invites online applications from eligible candidates for the direct recruitment of Sports Persons to fill 21 Posts in the following disciplines in Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2024-25 in Northern Railway.

  Sports Persons: 21 Vacancies

  Football-Men: 02 Vacancies
  Weightlifting Men: 01 Vacancy
  Volley Ball Men: 02 Vacancies
  Hockey Women: 01 Vacancy
  Cricket Men: 01 Vacancy
  Athletics Women: 01 Vacancy
  Athletics-Men: 03 Vacancies
  Table Tennis (Men): 02 Vacancies
  Gymnastic (Men): 01 Vacancy
  Boxing-Women: 02 Vacancies
  Handball Women: 01 Vacancy
  Basket Ball (Women): 02 Vacancies
  Kho-Kho (MEN): 02 Vacancies

  Important Dates:
  Commencement of Online Application: 11-11-2024
  Last Date of Online Application: 11-12-2024
  Expected Date of Trial: Mid-February

  Eligibility Criteria:

  Level 4 - Level 5: Candidates must possess a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University.

  Level 2 - Level 3: Candidates must have Passed the 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination. Education Qualification must be from a recognized Institution.

  Sports Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum required sports eligibility and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

  Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 25 years as on 01-01-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

  Selection Process: Candidates are selected on the basis of performance in Sports Trials and evaluation of sports and educational achievements.

  Period of Probation: All the candidates getting appointments will undergo a probation period of two years.

  Pay Scale: Level 5- Rs.29200 - 92300/-
  Level 4- Rs.25500 - 81100/-
  Level 3- Rs.21700 - 69100/-
  Level 2- Rs.19900 - 63200/-

  Application Fee: Rs.250 for SC/ ST/ Women/ Minorities and Economically Backward Classes category candidates, and Rs.500/- for other candidates.
