    Job Description :

    The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), under its Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), invites online applications from eligible candidates for various Technical Assistant, Technician 'B', Heavy Vehicle Driver 'A', Light Vehicle Driver 'A', Cook positions. The positions are focused on developing and managing liquid propulsion systems, critical for India’s space exploration missions.

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Technical Assistant: Candidates must possess a three year diploma in relevant engineering discipline with first class.

    Technician: Candidates must pass SSLC/SSC and possess ITI/NTC/ NAC in relevant Trade from NCVT.

    Heavy Vehicle Driver: Candidates must pass Matriculation/ 10th exam from a recognised board. Candidates must possess HVD licence and Public Service Badge, if statutory. Candidates must have 5 years experience, out of which minimum 3 years as Heavy Vehicle Driver and the balance period driving experience of Light Motor Vehicle.

    Light Vehicle Driver: Candidates must pass Matriculation/ 10th exam from a recognised board. Candidates must possess LVD licence. Candidates must have 3 years experience as Light Vehicle Driver.

    Cook: Candidates must pass Matriculation/ 10th exam from a recognised board. Candidates must have 5 years experience in a similar capacity (as Cook) in a well established Hotel/Canteen.

    Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria for each specific position, which includes the required educational qualifications, professional certifications, and relevant work experience. 

    Age Limit: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 18 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years. Candidates must not be born earlier than 11-09-1989. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

    Remuneration: 
    Technical Assistant: Level 7 in Pay Matrix
    Technician ‘B’: Level 3 in Pay Matrix
    Driver Posts: Level 2 in Pay Matrix
    Cook: Level 2 in Pay Matrix

    Selection Process: The selection process for ISRO LPSC involves three stages.

    Written Test:
    For Technical Assistant and Technician ‘B’ posts: the test will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed in 90 minutes with 0.33 marks deducted for wrong answers. The syllabus will be based on the curriculum, ensuring the candidate’s theoretical and practical knowledge is evaluated.

    For Driver Post: the written test will have 100 MCQs in 120 minutes with 0.25 marks deducted for wrong answers. The test will cover the Motor Vehicles Act, English, Arithmetic, and General Knowledge.

    For Cook Posts: the test will have 80 MCQs in 120 minutes with 0.25 marks deducted for wrong answers. The questions will evaluate the candidate's knowledge of cooking, kitchen equipment, general knowledge, English, and arithmetic.

    Skill Test: The skill test shall be evaluated on a 100-point scale, with a minimum score of 60% for qualification.

    Final Selection: The final selection will be done amongst qualified candidates, based on the scores obtained in the written test.

    Note- The Written Test and Skill Test will be conducted at suitable venues in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) only.
