    Job Description :

    Indian Air Force invites online applications from eligible candidates for the courses commencing in January 2026 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches applications are also invited for NCC Special Entry Scheme (For flying branch).

    Ground Duty (Non- Technical): 117 Vacancies
    Men: 94 Vacancies

    Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

    Age Limit:
    For Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 20 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 years as on 01-01-2025. Candidates born between 02 January 2000 to 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).

    For Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: Candidates must have attained the minimum age of 20 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 26 years as on 01-01-2025. Candidates born between 02 January 2000 to 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive). However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable per government rules.

    Selection Process: Candidates are selected on the basis of a Written exam followed by physical and medical tests.

    Training Period: The duration of training for Flying and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches is 62 weeks and that of Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches is 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments. 

    Pay Scale: Basic pay of Rs. 56100 - 177500 for Flying Officer posts

    Examination Fee: Rs. 550
    Candidates registering for NCC Special Entry are not required to pay.
    Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee online.
