Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur, invites online applications from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Basic Teacher (Job Trainee) under the Elementary Education Department of Himachal Pradesh. Selected candidates will be teaching at the primary school level in government schools across the state.

Name of the Post and Number of Positions:

Junior Basic Teacher (JBT): 600

Eligibility Criteria: 

10+2 with at least 50% marks and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) 

OR

Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education

OR

10+2 with 50% marks and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

OR

A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is recognized for primary teacher recruitment.

Additional Requirement: Candidates must qualify Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) for JBT.

Age Limit: 

Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 45 years and will be reckoned as on 01.01.2026.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of the Computer-based Test (CBT)/ Written Screening Test

Total Questions- 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQ), with each question carrying half 01 mark.
Time-  1.5 hours

Syllabus:

1. Subjects(s)/field(s) up to the level of prescribed essential qualification.
2. General Knowledge, including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh, and Current Affairs.
3. Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi of Matric Standard.

Pay Scale: Rs. 18,000/-

Application Fee: Rs 800/-  for all

Correction window fee: Rs 100/- for all
Candidates are asked to pay the application fee online.
