Heavy Vehicles Factory invites online applications from eligible Graduates and Diploma holders in Engineering and Non-Engineering Graduates, hailing from Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Puducherry for undergoing one year of Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act 1973.

Eligibility Criteria:
Graduate Apprentices: A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by a Statutory University in a relevant discipline/ A Degree in Engineering or Technology (Full time) granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in a relevant discipline/ Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: A Diploma in Engineering or technology (Full time) granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in a relevant discipline/ A Diploma in Engineering or Technology(Full time) granted by a University in relevant discipline/ A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.
Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices: A Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Humanities such as BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ BBA/ BBM/ BCA etc., granted by a Statutory University / Deemed University in relevant discipline. – UGC approved.
Age Limit: The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 25 years as of 01-08-2024. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on merit based on their marks obtained in ITI and 10th. A weightage of 30% to marks scored in relevant trade in ITI and a weightage of 70% shall be given to marks scored in the 10th board. In cases where no ITI is required [Like in the trades of Mate (Mines) & Blaster (Mines)], 100% weightage will be given to marks scored in the 10th Board.
Training Duration: The duration of Apprenticeship training will be one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
Remuneration: Rs. 8000 for Diploma (Technician) and Rs. 9000 for Graduate Apprentices(Engineering / Technology) and Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices.
