Job Description

Central Board of Secondary Education invites online applications from eligible candidates for Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026 (DRQ2026) on an All India Competitive Examination basis for the various posts.

Assistant Secretary: 08 Vacancies
Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Academics): 12 Vacancies
Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Training): 08 Vacancies
Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Skill Education): 07 Vacancies
Accounts Officer: 07 Vacancies
Superintendent: 27 Vacancies
Junior Translation: 09 Vacancies
Junior Accountant: 16 Vacancies
Junior Assistant: 35 Vacancies

Important Dates:
Commencement of Online Applications: 02-12-2025
Last Date of Online Applications: 22-12-2025

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have fulfilled the minimum eligibility criteria as required educational and professional qualification, experiences if any, and other important guidelines as suggested in the official advertisement to be eligible for consideration for said post.

Upper Age Limit: Candidates must not have crossed the maximum age of 35 years for Assistant Secretary, Accounts Officer, 30 years for Assistant Professor & Assistant Director, Superintendent, Junior Translation Officer, 27 years for Junior Accountant, and Junior Assistant posts as on 22-12-2025. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.

Selection Process:
Superintendent Posts:
Tier-1: MCQ based preliminary screening examination
Tier-2: Objective Type (OMR based) & Descriptive Type written main examination
AND
A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word) will be mandatory for the post, however, it will be qualifying in nature

Junior Assistant Posts:
Tier-1: MCQ-based preliminary screening examination
AND
A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a Computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/ 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word) will be mandatory for the post, however, it will be qualifying in nature.

For All other Posts:
Tier-1: MCQ based preliminary screening examination.
Tier-2: Objective Type (OMR Based) & Descriptive Type Written Main Examination.
Tier-3: Interview

Pay Scale: Pay Level-10 for Assistant Secretary, Assistant Professor & Assistant Director, and Accounts Officer Posts
Pay Level-6 for Superintendent, and Junior Translation Officer Posts
Pay Level-2 for Junior Accountant, and Junior Assistant Posts

Examination Fee: Rs.1050/- for General/ EWS/ OBC candidates.
Rs.250 for SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-Servicemen/ Women candidates
