Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 34th Course Commencing April 2025

Applications are invited from unmarried male and unmarried female Law Graduates for the grant of the Short Service Commission in the Indian Army.

Tenure of Engagement: Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission in the regular Army for 14 years i.e. for an initial period of 10 years extendable by a further period of 04 years.

An officer will be on probation for six months from the date he/she receives his/her commission.

On commission, candidates will be appointed as Lieutenant, Pay Matrix Level 10 of Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500/-

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must possess an LLB Degree from a recognized university with an aggregate of a minimum of 55% marks.
In addition, CLAT PG 2024 Score is mandatory for all candidates (including LLM-qualified and LLM-appearing candidates) who apply for courses starting in a particular year.

Note- Candidate should be from a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Age Limit:  Minimum 21 years and maximum 27 years as of 01 Jan 2025. Candidates must born not earlier than 02 Jan 1998 and not later than 01 Jan 2004; both dates inclusive. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable as per government directives.
    
Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will be intimated selection centre via email. After allotment of the selection center, candidates will have to log in to the official website and select their SSB dates available on a first come first serve basis.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, in Allahabad(UP), Bhopal(MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Jalandhar (PB).

Candidates will be selected based on a two-stage selection procedure. Candidates who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of the SSB interview is five days.
