Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 Registration

The registration process for GATE 2025 has been initiated by IIT Roorkee on August 28, 2024. You can visit the official website of GATE at gate2025.iitr.ac.in for the application form. The online application process includes steps like initial registration, filling out the form, paying the registration fee, and uploading the required documents. The last date to submit the GATE 2025 application form is September 26, 2024. In case you are late for registration there is no need to worry. GATE registration can be done with a late fee by October 7, 2024. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15 and 16.

- Age Limit: There is no specific age requirement, which implies applicants from diverse age groups can sit for the GATE 2025 examination.
GATE Scorecard

For Ph.D. programs, financial assistance amounts to Rs.37,000 per month for the first two years and Rs.42,000 per month from the third to the fifth year. - Research fellowship program by the Council For Scientific & Industrial Research
In 2002, CSIR launched the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) program to support engineering graduates who have passed the GATE exam in pursuing advanced research through Ph.D. programs at CSIR Labs. This fellowship is designed for a five-year Ph.D. trajectory, with the requirement to enroll in the Ph.D. program within two years of receiving the fellowship.

The JRF-GATE is provided monthly assistance of Rs.31,000, along with a house rent allowance (HRA). Additionally, a contingency grant of Rs.20,000 per year (pro-rated for partial years) is also available to cover research expenses. After two years of JRF status, and upon successful evaluation based on CSIR JRF-NET guidelines, the fellowship is upgraded to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF), with a stipend increase to Rs.35,000 per month for the remaining period of the fellowship.
