    RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Posts Recruitment - 2025 notification has already been released by Railway Recruitment Board on 6th January 2025, declaring 1036 vacancies for different posts.     1. What is the total number of vacancies under RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Recruitment 2025?

    There are a total of 1,036 vacancies for different Ministerial and Isolated Categories positions. This includes 753 teaching posts for the Railway Teacher Recruitment – 2025.

    2. How is the selection process for RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Recruitment 2025?

    The selection process involves the following steps:

    • Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT)
    • Stage 2: Stenography Skill Test (SST)/ Translation Test (TT)/ Performance Test (PT)/ Teaching Skill Test (TST), as appropriate
    • Stage 3: Document Verification and Medical Examination

    3. How many Pay Levels are present in CEN 07/2024 for RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Recruitment?

    There are five salary grades in CEN 07/2024: Level 8, Level 7, Level 6, Level 4 and Level 2.

    4. How do I apply online for RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Recruitment 2025?

    • You will get a registration ID and password after registration.

    5. Who should produce NOC at the time of Document Verification?

    Ex-Servicemen candidates who have attained civil employment, Railway Employees (SRE) in service, and Central/State Government or Public Sector Undertakings serving employees need to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at Document Verification (DV).

    6. Who are eligible to make use of Scribe facilities?

    1. Individuals with benchmark disabilities in categories such as Blindness, Locomotor Disability (both the arms being affected), and Cerebral Palsy may avail of a scribe if they so wish.

    2. The other PwBD candidates are entitled to make use of the facility of scribe if they furnish a certificate supporting their physical impairment in writing from a Government Medical Officer.

    3. PwBD candidates with a disability of less than 40% but unable to write can also ask for a scribe if they bring a certificate as per Annexure-V(E).

    7. What is the section-wise distribution of marks for the RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories CBT exam?

    8. Will there be negative marking in the CBT?


    Yes, there will be a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect answer in the CBT.

    9. Is it possible to take my exam in a language other than English?

    Applicants who are appearing for RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Exam can opt for their desired language other than English. The languages that can be opted for are Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. This option can be exercised while applying. But in case of any discrepancies between English version and chosen language, the English version will be taken as final. It should be noted that after the language is chosen and the application is filed, it cannot be altered later.

    10. What does the Junior Translator/Hindi exam include?

    Junior Translator/Hindi test consists of a Computer Based Test (CBT) determining English and Hindi language ability (50% language questions) and General Knowledge, General Intelligence, Simple Arithmetic and Computer Basics.

    11. How is the Translation Test conducted?

    Translation Test is a qualifying test, and candidates who appear 10 times the number of vacancies in the CBT qualify. A candidate needs to have a 60% score for qualification. Merit list depends on CBT scores, and disqualification comes if the candidate fails the Translation Test.

    12. What is the structure of Performance Test/Teaching Skill Test for teachers?

    For teaching positions, the test is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Teaching Skill Test (TST). The proportion is different for each post, and the specifications are 85% for CBT and 15% for TST for PGTs, TGTs, PTIs and PRTs. Music and Art teaching positions are at a proportion of 60% for CBT, 25% for Performance Test, and 15% for TST.

    13. What is the Teaching Skill Test?

    Teaching Skill Test evaluates skills such as teaching style, communication, classroom management, and creativity. Candidates are required to present a subject based on a PowerPoint presentation or available aids. It is a 15-30 minute test carrying 15% weightage on the overall marks.

    14. How is the Performance Test taken for particular teaching positions?

    Performance Test for the position of Music Teacher, Craft Teacher or Drawing Teacher assesses music, art and creative skills. On-the-spot performances are assessed based on skill, presentation and creativity. It carries 25% of the total marks.

    15. In the event of my application being rejected, will I receive a refund of the paid fee?

    No, refund of the application fee will not be made in the event of rejection of applications.

    16. What is the last date to apply for the RRB Ministerial and Isolated Categories Recruitment - 2025?

    Deadline for submitting online applications is 28th February 2025, by 11:59 PM.

    18. How are candidates chosen for Document Verification (DV)?

    Candidates are shortlisted for DV on the basis of their marks in Computer Based Test (CBT) and Performance Test/Teaching Skill Test, or Translation Test (as the case may be). Only the number of candidates equivalent to vacancies will be shortlisted for Document Verification, based on their merit and option.

    19.What if two or more candidates score the same marks?

    If marks are equal for candidates, merit will be determined by:

    • Age: More senior candidate ranks higher.
    • If age is same: Names will be arranged in alphabetical order from A to Z.
