The Main Exam is part of the selection process and is very important for qualification. Your aggregate score in this exam will determine your rank and placement. Similar to Prelim Exam, there will be negative marking for incorrect answers in Mains also.
Language Proficiency Test
Besides these exams, the candidates, who have not studied the local language prescribed at the 10th or 12th standard level, are given a Language Proficiency Test. This is conducted after the Main Exam, and in case a candidate fails, he is not provided with the appointment.
