    The Institute of Banking and Personal Selection (IBPS) released the result for the Specialist Officer (SO) in participating banks preliminary examination on 3rd December 2024. Candidates who have appeared for the exam may check their results on the official website of IBPS. The recruitment drive for the post of Specialist officer, that is bank jobs in various participating banks is conducted to fill 896 vacant positions. Candidates who have made it to the first stage of the recruitment process must now get ready to face the second tackle-the mains examination.     Methods for Calculating Marks for IBPS SO Examination 

    It is important to know the marking system, whether for preliminary or mains. If you want to be sure about your scoring and wants to calculate, here is the process to doing so. 

    • Each question carries 1 mark and for each correct answer 1 mark is allotted.
    • A negative marking of 0.25 is deducted for every incorrect answer.
    • Check and calculate the number of correct answers in each section and make a total of all the sections.
    • Calculate incorrect answers and multiply the total with 0.25 to calculate the total negative marks.
    • Calculate the difference between total marks obtained and total negative marking by subtracting.

    The IBPS Common recruitment process for recruiting specialist officers for participating banks follows three stages of recruitment process.

    Stage 1- Preliminary Examination

    Stage 2- Mains Examination

    Stage 3- Interview

    After the Preliminary result declaration, candidates who are qualified for the second phase are required to download the admit card for the mains examination.
