    IBPS organizes RRB Exam once a year for both Assistant and Officer Cadre positions in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). IBPS organization invites prospective candidates each year to apply for different vacancies, such as Probationary Officer (PO), Officer Scale II & III and Office Assistants (Clerks) in the participating Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) nationwide.     Notification on RRB exams conducted by IBPS contains details about the hiring of suitable candidates for the Office Assistant (Clerk) and Officer Scale I, II, and III positions in different RRBs in India.     Penalty for Wrong Answers

    Penalty of 0.25 marks will be levied for every wrong answer in the Objective Tests. There will be no penalty for unattempted questions.

    RRB Officer Scale-II & III Exam Pattern (Single Exam)

    For Officer Scale-II & III posts, a single exam is conducted based on professional knowledge.

    Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager)

    Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference for degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation, IT, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy.

    2 years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

    Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager)

    • IT Officer: Bachelor's in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/IT (50% marks). Desirable: Certificates in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
    • Chartered Accountant: CA from ICAI.
    • Law Officer: Law degree (50% marks).
    • Treasury Manager: CA or MBA in Finance.
    • Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing.
    • Agricultural Officer: Bachelor's in Agriculture/Horticulture/Dairy/Animal Husbandry/Forestry/Veterinary Science/Agricultural Engineering/Pisciculture (50% marks).
    • IT Officer, Chartered Accountant, Treasury Manager, Marketing Officer: 1 year in the relevant field.
    • Law Officer: 2 years as an advocate or Law Officer in Banks/Financial Institutions.
    • Agricultural Officer: 2 years in the relevant field.

    Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager)

    Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Preference for degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing & Cooperation, IT, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy.

    Minimum 5 years as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.

     

    Note:

    1. All academic credentials should be from a Government of India recognized University/Institution/Board or approved by Government Regulatory Bodies.

    2. Relevant documents of the Board/University are to be provided at the time of the interview for the posts of Officers (Scale I, II, and III) and at time of joining for Office Assistant (Multipurpose).

    IBPS RRB Cut-Offs

    IBPS RRB Prelims, Mains and Interview cut-offs are published after each of these levels along with scorecards. Final merit is normally declared considering the cut-offs for Mains and Interview. Updated cut-offs along with practice insights may be observed through the official website while preparing for the exam.

    IBPS RRB Exam Analysis (Previous Year)

    • RRB Clerk Prelims: Difficulty level – Easy to Moderate.
      • Reasoning: Puzzle & Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Blood Relation, Inequality, Meaningful Words, Mixed Series, Pair Formation, Chinese Coding, Order Ranking, Odd One Out.
      • Quantitative Aptitude: Data Interpretation, Missing Number Series, Simplification, Arithmetic Problems.
    • RRB PO Prelims: Difficulty level – Easy to Moderate.
      • Reasoning: Puzzle & Seating Arrangement, Inequality, Syllogism, Chinese Coding, Digit-based (Repeating), Odd One Out, Direction & Distance.
      • Quantitative Aptitude: Bar Graph DI, Caselet DI, Tabular DI, Approximation, Wrong Number Series, Data Sufficiency, Arithmetic Word Problems.

    Exam Preparation Advice

    • Assess & Identify: Identify strengths and weaknesses. Review basics if new and practice weak spots if seasoned.
    • Regular Practice: Practice with mock tests to enhance speed, accuracy and time management.
    • Revise Concepts: Return to basics for challenging subjects and obtain individual doubt-solving if necessary.
    • Stay Consistent: Divide the syllabus and practice regularly for improvement.

    Interview Process for Officers (Scale I, II & III)

    • Shortlisting: Candidates shortlisted in the Main or Single level exams for Officer Positions (Scale I, II & III) will be interviewed by the Nodal Regional Rural Bank with support from NABARD and IBPS.
    • Interview Details: Date, time and place will be communicated in the call letter that has to be downloaded from the official IBPS website.
    • Interview Marks: Interview carries 100 marks. Minimum marks to be required are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). Overall score is calculated on the basis of 80:20 ratio of Online Examination marks and Interview marks.
    • Submission of Documents: Candidates are required to produce following documents in original and self-attested photocopies:

    1. Interview Call Letter

    2. Printout of online application

    3. Proof of Date of Birth

    4. Educational qualifications and experience certificates (if applicable)

    5. Caste/Disability certificates (if applicable)

    6.  Ex-servicemen documents (if applicable)

    7.  No Objection Certificate for government/public sector candidates

    • Non-Submission of Documents: Candidates failing to submit above documents will be disqualified from the interview and subsequent recruitment process.

    IBPS RRB Credit History Requirements

    • Credit History: Candidate should have a good credit history at the time of entry, according to RRB guidelines.
    • CIBIL Status: Candidates need to update their CIBIL or submit an NOC from the lender stating no pending issues. In case of non-compliance, the offer will be cancelled.
    • Bank Account: Candidates who do not have a bank account are exempted from submitting CIBIL status.

    Disclaimer: RRBs may reject candidates who fail to satisfy the credit history/score requirements.

    Application Process

    • Post Selection: Candidates may apply for Office Assistants (Multipurpose) and Officer Posts but can apply for only 1 Officer position (Scale I, II, or III). Separate fee and application are necessary for each position.
    • Application Period: Applications may only be submitted online and the application period can be checked from official notification.
    • Application Steps:
    1. Go to the IBPS website www.ibps.in and click on "CRP for RRBs" to choose the right post (Officers or Office Assistants).
    2. Click "New Registration" to provide basic details. A provisional registration number and password will be created and mailed through email/SMS.
    3. Upload documents: Photograph, Signature, Left thumb impression, Hand-written declaration and any eligibility certificates.
    4. Check the application prior to submission. Click on "SAVE AND NEXT" to check details. Alterations cannot be made once final submission has been made.
    5. Choose the State/Union Territory for provisional allotment. This selection, once made, is final and cannot be altered.

    Application Fee for IBPS RRB Exam

    Please find the application fee details for RRB exam:

    1. Officer (Scale I, II & III):

    • Rs. 175/- (Inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
    • Rs. 850/- (Inclusive of GST) for all others.

    2. Office Assistants (Multipurpose):

    • Rs. 175/- (Inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM candidates.
    • Rs. 850/- (Inclusive of GST) for all others.

    Call Letters

    • Download: Call letters will be downloadable from the official website of IBPS through the use of Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth. No hard copies will be sent.
    • Scribe Details: If any candidate needs a scribe, they have to fill in the scribe details while downloading and carry the scribe declaration form along with the call letter and documents to the exam.
    • Intimations:  Exam details will be communicated through email/SMS to the registered contact details. IBPS/ RRBs will not be liable for non-receipt of communication.
    • Stay Updated: Applicants should check the IBPS website and their email frequently for updates.

    Identity Verification

    1. Documents to be produced: 

    • Call letter and valid photo ID (e.g., PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter's Card, Aadhaar, Employee ID, etc.) bearing the same name as on the call letter.
    • Ration card and Learner' Driving License are not acceptable.
    • Candidates who have undergone a change of name are required to bring the original gazette notification or marriage certificate.
    • Capital letter signature will not be accepted.

    2. Biometric Verification:

    • In some stages, biometric information (thumb print or otherwise) and a picture can be taken for verification.
    • Candidate should not change their look from the picture provided in the application.
    • Those who refuse biometric capture can have their candidature revoked.
    • Make sure fingers are dry and clean prior to biometric capture. Inform authorities in case the main finger is injured.

    3. Aadhaar Verification:

    • Online Aadhaar verification can be done at various stages.
    • Applicants should produce the same photo ID used on the online application and call letters upon verification at interviews and exams.

    In case applicants don't furnish these documents or follow the process of verification, they might face rejection.

    Instructions for Candidates with Benchmark/Specified Disabilities Using a Scribe

    • Candidates should indicate the use of a scribe in the online application; no modification later.
    • Scribes are not eligible to be candidate for RRB exams.
    • Violation results in cancellation of candidature for both - candidate and scribe.
    • A scribe can only assist one candidate.
    • If the scribe responds or provide cues, candidature of the applicant will be cancelled.
    • Applicants using scribe facility need to apply for compensatory time in the application to get it.
    • PwBD applicants are given 20 minutes of compensatory time per hour on the basis of disability.
    • Visually challenged candidates (>= 40% disability) can avail magnified fonts but not with the help of a scribe.
    • Intellectual disability applicants can be given compensatory time.
    • These instructions may be modified according to GOI updates.

    General Instructions for RRB Exam

    • Documents Needed: Carry the call letter and a valid photo ID (having the same name as on the application form) for verification during the interview and exam.
    • Preliminary Exam: Call letter and photo ID will be verified and given back to candidates. Carry them to the main exam along with other documents as required. Furnish the scribe form (if needed) in both exams.
    • Main Exam: Bring the call letter verified by TTA (Test Administering Authority) and photo identification from the preliminary exam. In their absence, entry will not be permitted.
    • Single Exam (Scale II & III): Produce the call letter and photo ID at the exam center as directed.
    • Photograph: Bring one or more photo (identical to the one on the call letter) to the exam. Without it, entry will be refused.
    • Fill One Post: A single post (Scale I, II or III) only should be applied for in the Officer's cadre. There will be rejection of multiple applications for same cadre.
    • Provisional Admission: Provisional admission to the exam, interview and subsequent stages is given. IBPS/RRBs may cancel any application if eligibility is not fulfilled or incorrect information is given.
    • Final Decision: Regarding eligibility, selection and al other issues, the decision of IBPS/RRB shall be final.
    • Multiple Applications: A candidate may make only one current valid application. Fees paid for multiple applications will be lost.
    • No Withdrawal: Submissions of online applications are non-withdrawable and no refund of fees will be made.
    • Jurisdiction: Disputes will be within the jurisdiction of courts at Mumbai.
    • Request for Changes: Requests for rescheduling of exam date, shift of venue or personal details cannot be accommodated.
    • Handwritten Declaration: The declaration should be in the handwriting of the candidate (in English and not in capital letters).
    • Examination Issues: In case of any issues during the exam, IBPS can hold a re-exam at their discretion and candidates will have no right for it.
    • Interview Expenses: Candidates shortlisted for interview will pay the expenses, except SC/ST/PwD candidates who will be paid travel expenses (subject to conditions).
    • Unauthorized Application: IBPS cannot be held accountable for unauthorized application by a person or an institution.
    • Medical Fitness: Appointment shall be subject to medical fitness and conformity with bank's rules.
    • Banned Items: Stationery, communication devices, electronic devices, ornaments, watches and food items are strictly not allowed within the exam premises. Violations shall result in cancellation and disciplinary action.
