The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has just recently announced the RRB Technician Exam for 2024. The exam is scheduled to take place from 18 to 29 December 2024. Candidates who have applied and are appearing for the examination must be fully prepared. Besides, they must also update themselves with any information about the exam. The RRB Technician Recruitment Examination is held for Grade I and Grade III in different pay scales of Pay level 5 and pay level 2. The Pay level 5 is for Grade I and pay level 2 is for Grade III. Both the Grade I and Grade III will have three levels of selection process:
The syllabus and patterns for the Computer base test is different for the two different grades. The RRB informs the eligible candidates who have applied for the exam via SMS, Emails and the RRBs official website.

Candidates who qualify for CBT test will be shortlisted for document verification for the respective Grades. In the event of two or more candidates scoring equal marks, the oldest candidates among the two/more will be given the merit position. The shortlisted candidates are further required to go through a physical test with the RRB outlining the standard criteria to be considered qualified for the posts. The final list of the merit candidates will be shortlisted by taking into account the candidate CBT test performance, verification of essential documents/antecedents/character and physical fitness of the candidate
Candidates who are shortlisted for document verification must also ensure physical fitness in all aspects. The Visual Acuity Standard is of major importance for the RRB Technician posts, and candidates shortlisted must ensure they fulfil the standard criteria. Candidates who have undergone any surgical treatments like LASIK surgery, etc. for correcting refractory error are not eligible for the posts that demands A3 standards in the recruitment.

Be thorough with the exam pattern and syllabus: To strategise an effective preparation plan, candidates must have a thorough knowledge and idea of the exam pattern and the syllabus. You must be familiar with the kind of questions that are asked in the exam from each subject.
Create a rigorous routine and study plan: Disciplining yourself and sticking to a rigorous routine will prepare you best for the exam. Try to divide and allocate specific timing to each subject. You may want to give a little more time to those subjects and areas that need more attention.
Practice diligently: This is an unavoidable step in your preparation. Get your hands on the previous years' question papers and practice daily. This will enhance your speed and accuracy. Join as many mock tests as possible. This way you will get to familiarize yourself with the exam pattern, pressure and efficient time management. You will also get to assess the progress of your preparation and improve the areas where you lack.
Remain Focused and Stay Updated: You must support your preparation by complementing with reading newspapers, magazines and other resources and update your knowledge on the current affairs and general awareness across the various topics that are relevant to the syllabus.
Revision is unavoidable: To enhance your knowledge and build a strong preparation, stick to a comprehensive revision plan. You must revise all the things you have studied effectively so that you don't forget during the exam when you are attempting all the question under immense pressure.
