3. 35 hours of training in project management or a CAPM certification -

What does the audit process of the PMI involve?

1. Proof of education (photocopy of college/university degree)

What is the format of the PMP certification exam?

One has to take the PMP certification exam through the Prometric platform. One has to create an account with Prometric in order to schedule the exam. PMI will give the candidate one whole year’s time in which the candidate can schedule their exam.

This one year’s time will be measured from the day the candidate’s application got approved and they received the invitation link. If this one year elapses and the candidate has not scheduled their exam they will have to create an application and send it to the PMI all over again.

The PMP certification exam has a total of 180 questions. It has a total time limit of 230 minutes which is just 10 minutes under 4 hours. One can immediately see that it is a very long and arduous exam.

It can be calculated from the given figures that the candidate will have less than 2 minutes available to him to answer each question. So it is not a slow and relaxed exam. It is a fast-paced and frenzied affair.
