1. White belt -

A professional who has not taken any certification training whatsoever is known as a six sigma white belt. One thing which should be noted is that that is not the only qualification which is considered when labelling a professional as a white belt. There is one more qualification which can bring someone to the platform of being a white belt.

That qualification is that that professional should be a complete beginner to the six sigma methodology. This means that he should not have any prior knowledge of the six sigma methodology. He should not have been introduced to any of the core concepts and topics of the six sigma methodology.

2. Yellow belt -

A six sigma yellow belt is at a higher level than a six sigma white belt.
